Join us for an awesome even during the First Friday Art Walk!

Friday, February 4
2PM-10PM
At Taala Hoogan Infoshop
1700 N. Second St.
Flagstaff, AZ

The vision for the show is a political art show.
Stand Up, Stay Up, and Speak Up, is an art show case which intends to open dialogue on political issues that pertain to the Indigenous population. Works presented will be from Indigenous artists which will provide their interpretation of political issues.

There are many issues that pertain to the indigenous population of the United States and many amazing artists who don’t often pu…t their political views out there for others to see. This show will offer them the opportunity to do just that. The setting for the show is key because of the many issues that are currently being fought in Arizona, such as the SB1070 bill, and the desecration of sacred sites and the effort to halt snow making on the San Francisco Peaks.

The venue is a small community space that has given the youth of the community many opportunities for positive involvement in their community. The Taala Hoogan is a local organization that pretty much operates in a very DIY(Do It Yoursef) fashion, and in order to help with raising funds for the shop, We are asking artists who are gonna participate to donate a piece of artwork. which will be auctioned off in a silent auction benefiting the Taala Hoogan.
