Here is our May 2012 calendar we have lots of great events happening this month. Please spread the word and be sure to stop by to pick up some printed calendars.
We are in need of volunteers and new collective members! Please come one of our volunteer meetings on Fridays at 5:30pm to find out how you can support and be part of this community space.
Donations are always welcome! You can make a monetary donation online or at the infoshop. Other donations of items such as bike repair tools and supplies, books for the lending library, rain gutters, paint… are needed as well!
We’re also seeking used computer donations and flat screen computer monitors for a community computer lab which is now open!

Every Tuesday: Bladesmithing – 4:00PM
Come learn the basics of making your own knife at our forge.
Bring an old file if you like. No experience necessary.

$15 workshop (includes a kit) @ 5PM -with music!
“Rock music overlaid with weirdo noises from circuit-bent and other devices.
In our introductory workshop, we teach students to solder and glue up
a functioning piezo-electric pickup housed in bottle-caps – “Make an
EconoMIC Bottle-Cap Contact Microphone.” We also have the workshops
“Circuit-Bending 101:  Build a Bending Buddy,” and “Build Mr. Mixer.”

Tues. 15th – Presentation: The Resistance to I-69 the NAFTA Super Highway – 6:30PM

Wed. 16th – Rootbeer & Revolution: Ending Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse – 6:30PM
An open discussion on how we have the power to end sexual violence and domestic abuse in our community.

Thurs. 17th – Community Garden Planting Day – 12PM
Some seeds available.

Sun. 20th – All Ages Show: Day of the Dog – 7:00PM

Wed. 23rd – Navajo Taco Sale – 3:00-7:00PM – $5 each
Vegan tacos available.

Sat. 26th – Bike & Skate-in Movie: Despicable Me – 7:30PM
It’s warm enough to start showing movies outdoors again!
